Each year the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, publishes their AMBER Advocate. This newsletter reaches more than 36,000 law enforcement representatives, child protection advocates, elected officials, public safety agencies, broadcasters and many others interested in the welfare of children. Comments and recommendations from recipients of the AMBER Advocate have proven to be valuable and helpful in making the publication informative and useful to the many professionals across a number of disciplines.
The newsletter is a primary tool to communicate developments, progress, personal stories and improvements to responses to incidents of missing, endangered and abducted children. We are excited about the progress realized toward our mission of recovering abducted and endangered children and encourage you to remain steadfast in your support of this mission and the AMBER Alert Program. Inside this edition is a story about the Surviving Parents and the 2010 Ride for Their Lives event.
